About Winnetka Covenant Church

Mission

Our mission is to be a Christian community and to proclaim the gospel, worshiping together in love, nurturing people in the faith, serving others as Christian disciples, and building a world of justice and hope in the name of Christ.

Community

Our community of Christ is varied and diverse. While many of our members and friends are from the neighborhood, our geographical reach goes from the north side of Chicago to the north and and northwest suburbs. Some of us grew up at Winnetka Covenant, some of us are Covenanters who have found this place. But many of us experienced a different background of faith before finding the welcome of Christ here. We are blessed by an outlook that is molded by being a multigenerational body and we seek to share His word with all who would embrace it.

Membership

Attending the Inquirer's class is the first step in applying for membership at Winnetka Covenant Church. Each spring and fall a series of four one hour sessions are offered. These informal discussions focus on the history of the Evangelical Covenant Church, Winnetka Covenant Church, finding your place in the church, and getting to know each other.
