Worship at Winnetka Covenant Church seeks to stimulate and nurture the inner calling we all have to be faithful followers of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Sunday morning Prayer Group meets in the Prayer Room.
Please join us in these 45 minutes of intercessory prayer
Infant and toddler nursery care is offered for babies up to age two. Beginning with two-year-olds, Sunday School classes are offered for all age groups. The teaching is Bible-based, with a variety of age-appropriate activities to reinforce the child's learning of each lesson.
We currently offer two choices of Sunday School classes for Adults each week. Living With Question Marks, led by Sam Paravonian, and Walking Through The Bible, led by Kelly Quackenbush, Roger Schmitt and Geroge Tzanetopoulous. Throughout the year we offer topical classes, with the topic and teachers changing about every four to six weeks.
Sunday morning worship is traditional but open. It embraces the richness of Christian tradition while speaking with relevance to people's lives. Shaped by the readings of scripture for the day from the revised common lectionary, morning worship weaves together traditional hymns and choral music with prayer, sermon and the sacraments.
Children from age four and up meet their parents after Sunday School and come to the first part of the worship service. Following a Time With Children during the service the 4's & 5's and 1st & 2nd graders leave each week to go to their own classes for age-appropriate worship. The 3rd, 4th & 5th graders leave for Jr. Church every other week.
Please feel free to stay after the service to join in fellowship and coffee.
