Meet the Staff

Erik Stom, Youth Pastor

Since completing degrees at North Park University, Theological Seminary, and Graduate School of Nonprofit Management, I enthusiastically accepted a call to become the youth pastor at Winnetka Covenant Church in June of 2007. Prior to this call, I served in a number of youth ministry settings, ranging from full-time camping ministry at Covenant Point Bible Camp to worship leading at Willow Creek Community Church. I love adventure, the outdoors, acoustic guitars, cooking, reading, good coffee, watching movies, and being with friends and family. My wife, Courtney, and my two boys, Caleb and Jackson, are a constant source of joy and encouragement to me.

I feel excited and honored to be given the responsibility of walking alongside the junior high and high school students in our church and community as they navigate the world of adolescence and discover who it is that God created them to be, and what it is that God might be calling them to do. Winnetka Covenant Church is a welcoming and authentic group of young and old, and an excellent community for that kind of faith growth and discovery to take place.
